Steph first stepped foot in a gym at the age of 16 with a simple goal of adding more movement into her life (since sports were never her thing and eating was her favorite thing.) Starting off with just about no idea what she was doing, Steph soon learned how to use equipment with the help of YouTube videos and the personal trainers at her local gym. For three years Steph’s “gym life” was a little inconsistent, taking up to 8-month breaks here and there. (Yeah, yikes. But we’ve all been there.)
It wasn’t until April 2016 that Steph decided to approach fitness and nutrition 100% seriously. Starting with small, gradual changes, she began to implement regular resistance training, cardio conditioning, and of course, healthy eating into her routine. With this new mindset and approach, Steph noticed a real difference in her physical AND mental health. Steph discovered how to make health and fitness a sustainable, enjoyable part of her life, and she hasn’t looked back since!
Reflecting on her personal transformation and experiences inspired Steph to help others achieve their own fitness goals. In May 2019, Steph obtained her Personal Trainer Certification through the International Sports Sciences Association. Ever since Steph has enjoyed training clients regularly in a variety of settings – from one-on-one, to small group training and instructing classes!
Steph’s mission is to encourage everyone, at every age, fitness, and experience level, to integrate exercise into their lives and become the best possible version of themselves. Her approach also stems from the importance of balance: HEALTHY does NOT entail restricting foods or beating yourself up if you miss a workout. Whether you want to lose weight, get stronger, or simply reap the benefits of physical activity, Steph will help guide you on the path that is right for YOU.
Sometimes people will convince themselves that they can’t work with a trainer until they’re “in better shape” – but this defeats the whole purpose! Whether you are a seasoned athlete or a total beginner, Steph wants to work with YOU, where YOU are right now. So get started TODAY.
